This is protoytpe side art for Sega's 1997 X-Files pinball machine, which was ultimately built with their "Showcase" backbox which doesn't have side art.

This artwork came from Pinball Expo 2000 (Chicago, October 2000).  Stern Pinball (formerly Sega) had a silent auction of unique pinball art and I won this.

A one-of-a-kind watercolor of a sample game that never went beyond the "what if?" stage.  This art is from around 1997, and curiously, has the same smaller form factor as Williams' Pinball 2000.

Also won at Stern's silent auction at Pinball Expo 2000.

Sega did end up making a full-sized pool-themed game, Golden Cue, in 1998, and Stern made Sharkey's Shootout in 2000.

OK, not really art, but pretty cool!!  This is an Indiana Jones pinball machine that was at the Adventureland Outpost shop in Disneyland, California, just outside of the Indiana Jones ride.  The cabinet has been very cleverly modified to reflect a jungle motif, with custom side art, wooden rails, and bamboo leg covers.  And the machine works!

Picture taken December, 1999; machine still there December, 2001.
